PAYE umbrella companies such as Pulse Umbrella offer a PAYE umbrella payment solution that is fully HMRC compliant, offering you complete protection against IR35. We deal with all your taxation and contract paperwork – so you don’t have to – and address all concerns of contractors who do not want the hassle of having additional responsibilities outside of their contract work.
With our company umbrella service, you become an employee of the company. Each week or month, we will invoice your agency/client based on your time sheet. They then pay you a net salary after deducting national insurance contributions and income tax on all your earnings.
After securing a contract you instruct your agent to send a contract to the umbrella company for signing. You do not sign the contract yourself. Instead there will be a contract in place between you and the umbrella company.
When payment for the invoice is received, you will be paid via PAYE (Pay As You Earn) on the full salary due, using fully HMRC approved methods to offset business expenses.
The contractor benefits from full employment rights. As an employee, you will be able to claim statutory payments for sickness, maternity and paternity leave. In addition, you benefit from coverage for employment insurances – employers liability, third party liability and professional indemnity.
